The diagram below right, specifies the key components to any roofline unit. We believe the diagram and small explanation will give you a better appreciation of the importance of the roofline which protects your home.

  • The Bargeboard area of the roofline provides protection for the roof and the gable end of your home.
  • The Box End area supports, protects and neatly finishes the roofline structure.
  • The Fascia and Soffits are essential components of every roofline. They serve the purpose of protecting and ventilating the roof space by concealing any exposed aspects of the roof .
  • Fascias also provide the additional function of supporting the gutters and the bottom row of roof tiles.

Gutters & Downpipes

Gutters and downpipes serve the purpose of protecting the underside of the roof, the walls of your home (the brickwork) and your home’s foundation by directing the water away from the foundations. If your gutters and downpipes are damaged or old, you should consider replacing them.

Fascias

All ECG fascias and soffits are assembled in accordance to British Standards. Our range includes bargeboards, fascias & soffits, all of which are durable and low-maintenance. When you choose ECG to replace your roofline we will replace your old gutters and downpipes completely free of charge.
